Hi - I'm sorry that for various reasons - including sickness and death [neither mine] I can't make the AGM. Hope it goes well - I'll miss tucking into the shared lunch. Hope to have more time for gardening and associated activities in the near future.

I was very disappointed with my cauliflowers which produced heads the size of a golf ball. 2 of the plants just sat there so I left them in over winter. I was just wondering whether to turf them out to make room for something else when I found they were covered in Purple flower buds - so they've been harvested and the plants left in to keep producing. The PSB plants I knew I had went to seed and/or have not produced much at all - so it was a nice surprise to find I had some after all ,albeit disguised as Caulis.

I've saved quite a few of my old windows - which I planned to make into a cold frame or two. I've loads more than I need so send a message if you would like some - free to collect.

Anyone got any ideas on a simple way to make cold frames out of old windows? would quite like to dismantle and or relocate them as and when - if that's not too daft an idea.
